The AAA batteries of my cordless phone have been used for years and due for replacement. Can I replace them by alkaline batteries?
Customer should use Ni-MH type rechargeable batteries which is under 800 mAh. If you replace them by any ordinary or alkaline batteries, it will cause damage to the cordless phone with the leakage of corrosive electrolyte. Under such case, free warranty service will be voided. For enhancing battery life, charging the batteries in between 40% DOD (Depth of Discharging) - 80% SOC (State of Charging) is highly recommended.
What is the difference between cordless phones of different frequencies?
Panasonic digital cordless phones include DECT (1.8GHz), 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz series. Some customer may think that the higher the frequency value, the wider the reception coverage. Actually different frequencies just represent the phones operate in different radio frequency ranges. The coverage area and voice quality are similar among the 3 frequencies & which depends on the operating environment, distance and barrier between the base unit and cordless handset.
